(1904-1948) Austrian born Air Force Cross Squadron leader who excelled in sailplane design and was a champion glider during the 20s and 30s. His passion would lead to his demise, as he died during a glider test. This item is a vintage 4x6 German postcard photo, featuring a head and shoulders portrait wearing his cap and goggles. It is beautifully signed in fountain pen. Imperfections: Minor Surface Blemish
