Alberto Vargas autographed Matted Ensemble
(1896–1982) Peruvian painter of pin-up girls who is often considered one of the most famous of the pin-up artists. He became famous in the 1940s as the creator of iconic World War II era pin-ups for Esquire magazine known as 'Vargas Girls'. This item has a fantastic color reproduction of a 'Vargas Girl', professionally double matted with a signed letter of Vargas. The letter is dated 1943 and it is on 'Esquire' letterhead. The overall size is 14x18 and it is ready to frame.
