Al Atwell
Alfred Lemont "Al" Atwell was a U.S. Air Force Colonel and highly regarded Cold War-era test pilot stationed at Edwards Air Force Base during the 1960s. He was a 1963 graduate of the elite Aerospace Research Pilot School (Class III) and a designated military astronaut candidate.
