|On April 18, 1942, 4 months after the attack on Pearl harbor, Jimmy Doolittle led a group of B-25's off the deck of the USS Hornet to strike Japan. Having to launch early, the planes could not reach their landing strips in China, and had to bail, ditch or crash land. This exceptional item contains a color print of the B-25 flying past the coast of Japan after the raid, matted with a history of the event, and the following signatures: Lt. Dean Davenport, co-pilot crew # 7, Chase Nelson, navigator, crew #6, Charles Ozuk, navigator, crew # 3, Clayton Campbell, navigator, crew # 13 and Robert Hite, co-pilot crew # 16. All of these men are American heroes for volunteering for this dangerous mission. The item is professionally double matted, measures 19x18 and is made with acid free materials, ready to be framed.|
