(1865) This spectacular display piece has a signature of Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (1832-1898) who went by the pen name of Lewis Carroll. He was an English author, poet and mathematician. His most notable works are 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' and its sequel, 'Through the Looking-Glass'. This signature, dated 1849, has been professionally double matted with a superb b/w portrait of the author, as well as a sepia portrait of Alice as a beggar girl, perhaps the most memorable photograph that he ever took (ca. 1859). The overall size is 14x18 and it is ready to frame. This is an exceedingly RARE autograph and has huge investment potential.
