(1889-1973) Veteran Japanese actor who made his mark on American audiences in silent movies from the teens, enjoying a lengthy and generally distinguished screen career, the climax of which was his Oscar nominated portrayal of a Japanese prisoncamp commander in 'The Bridge on the River Kwai'. This item is a VINTAGE signature, professionally double matted with a color movie poster reproduction to the 1918 silent film 'The Honor of His House'. The overall size is 10x15 and it was assembled using only acid free materials. Attached to the back of the piece is a snapshot of Hayakawa that was taken when the signature was obtained. Excellent!
