On July 23, 1958 under top secret orders to conduct 'Operation Sunshine', the first crossing of the north pole by a ship, the 'Nautilus' submarine, under the command of William R. Anderson, announced to his crew 'For the world, Our Country, and the Navy - the North Pole'. The 'Nautilus' has accomplished the impossible and has reached the geographic North Pole. This piece is a 7.5 x 10.5 heavy stock paper, with an original signed drawing of the 'Nautilus' by Anderson. Scorching piece with significant historical content!
