Woodrow Wilson autographed Document
(1856-1924) Twenty Eighth President of the United States. This item is a beautiful World War I era 16x20 document on vellum, dated August 13th, 1917. It is a military commission for Victor H. Shields as an 'assistant surgeon in the Navy with the rank of Lieutenant junior grade'. An embossed paper seal remains intact at the lower center. It has a bold ink signature of Woodrow Wilson as United States Presient and it is also signed by Josephus Daniels as Secretary of the Navy. It is in an inexpensive frame for protection but should be archivally protected. It has light age wear. Imperfections: See Description
