On April 18, 1942, 4 months after the attack on Pearl harbor, Jimmy Doolittle led a group of B-25's off the deck of the USS Hornet to strike Japan. Having to launch early, the planes could not reach their landing strips in China, and had to bail, ditch or crash land. This item is an 8x10 b/w photo signed by Co-Pilot Lt. Richard E. Cole and Navigator Lt. Henry 'Hank' A. Potter.
