(1903-1989) Author who created 'Inspector Maigret'. Wrote some 425 books, which have sold more than 600 million copies worldwide. This item is a signed typed letter dated October 14, 1968 on a thin piece of 8x10.5 paper. The content reads as follows, 'Dear Sir, Thank you for your letter of October 8, 1968. You arem of course, authorized to use the contents of my September 20, 1967 letter to you for your proposed publication entitled 'The Thousand Letters'. With best wishes, Yours sincerely, (signed Georges Simenon).' Imperfections: Minor Age Wear, Minor Bend or Crease
