Eliphalet & Samuel Remington autographed Check
(October 28, 1793–August 12, 1861) designed the now-famous Remington rifle. The gun received such an enthusiastic response that Remington decided to manufacture it in quantity, and formed the firm of E. Remington and Sons, which he headed until his death in 1861. Samuel Remington helped his father run the company, concentrating on selling the popular firearms on the international market. This lot contains a check dated October 31, 1853 signed by Samuel Remington and a check dated June 20, 1853 signed by Eliphalet Remington. There are holes on the middle of both checks.
