Edward Hitchcock autographed Card / Album Page

(1793–1864) The third President of Amherst College, from 1845 to 1854. He ran the first geological survey of Massachusetts, and in 1830 was appointed state geologist of Massachusetts (he held the post until 1844). His major work in this area was his book 'The Religion of Geology and its Connected Sciences'. This item is a vintage fountain pen signature on a 4x6.5 page. He wrote 1854 below is signature. Imperfections: Minor Surface Blemish, Moderate Bend or Crease
