Governor of New York and a Boubon Democrat. He served as a U.S. Senator from New York between 1892 and 1897. He was also a candidate for Democratic nomination for President in 1892, but lost the nomination to Grover Cleveland. This lot contains TEN signed cancelled checks from 1902.
