Flying Tigers Scott and Bond autograph

The AVG Flying Tigers were formed in 1941 in response to Japanese agression in China. This piece contains a color print of the P-40 Warhawk in aerial battle with enemy bombers, matted with a brief history of the American Volunteer Group, and the signatures of aces Charles Rankin Bond Jr., who had 7 kills with 1st Pursuit Squadron, and Robert Lee Scott, who flew 'The Hump'; supplies over the Himalayas to the Tigers, and befriended Claire Chennault to the point he was able to fly 'guest missions' with the tigers in the Warhawk, and he had 10 kills with the 23rd FG in the USAAF. The item is professionally double matted, measures 16x17 and is made with acid free materials, ready to be framed.
