After Lindbergh, he was the next man to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. A signed first day cover commemorating a 1928 Aeronautics conference. It is postmarked Dec. 14, 1928, and bears a 2 cent stamp with the Wright Brothers flyer, and a newer 13 cent stamp with the Spirit of St. Louis, postmarked May 20, 1977 . A wonderful item.
