(1910-1992) Actress, who is most famous for receiving the grapefruit in the face courtesy of James Cagney in the classic film, 'Public Enemy'. The character “Lorelei Lee” in Anita Loos’s classic Gentlemen Prefer Blondes was based on Clarke. Remembered for having a grapefruit pushed in her face by Jimmy Cagney in Public Enemy. This item is a Display Mat containing a vintage 1930's Album Page signiture of Mae Clarke that has been double matted with an Original Movie Poster for the 1930's film 'The Good Bad Girl'. The poster is 12x16 and slightly trimmed with parts of a few words of copy missing. The overall size is ~16x22". There is some age wear on the mat and poster.
