(1903-1991) Member of the Negro Leagues who was widely considered the fastest player ever to play baseball. He was a tremendous hitter and base runner and he also coached for the Kansas City Monarchs, teaching such players as Jackie Robinson. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974. This item is a vintage signature, professionally double matted with a great young b/w portrait. The overall size is 11x14 and it is ready to frame. SCARCE.
