One of the most memorable photos from the war was taken on V-J day, the day of Victory over Japan, on August 14, 1945 by photographer Alfred Eisenstadt. The photo is signed by the two in the picture, Edith Shain, then a nurse, and USN Navy sailor Carl Muscarello during a brief encounter in times square. The photo made the cover of Life Magazine. The item is professionally double matted, measures 11x14 and is made with acid free materials, ready to be framed.
