Bud Abbott (1895-1974) and Lou Costello (1906-1959) were one of America's favorite comedy teams who worked vaudeville, radio and finally film. Their 1941 hit 'Buck Privates' broke the then box office records. This wonderful piece contains a b/w photo of Bud, Lou and Buddy Baer as 'The Giant' in 1952's 'Jack and the Beanstalk', matted with a typed letter, dated March 27, 1952, signed by Abbott and Costello. The letter reads "Dear Miss Martin, Remember your childhood days when a golden egg starred in your fairyland excursions? Well, we would like to turn your mind back to those wondrous days with this replica of the golden egg which stars in our first color film 'Jack and the Beanstalk.' We hope this little token of our esteem will become the star of your desk and that it will bring you at least a dozen lucky stars.
