World War II and Korean War fighter pilot with over 300 missions. A clergyman in civilian life, Hess is best remembered for having saved the lives of thousands of Korean orphans. His story was told in the 1957 film, 'The Battle Hymn', starring Rock Hudson. This piece is an 8x10 b/w signed portrait, signed Dean E. Hess, Colonel, USAF. Very nice.
