(1866-1933) 'Gentleman Jim' won the world's heavyweight championship by knocking out John L. Sullivan in the 21st round in 1892. His first fight, against Peter Jackson a year earlier, ended in a draw after 61 rounds. He lost the title to Robert Fitzsimmons in 1897, and after failing in a comeback attempt, made a new career in vaudeville, movies and radio. This item is a signed and inscribed (to Earl Clark) cut dated 3/12/1928.
