J.J. Gould, one of 'The Saturday Evening Post's' many able illustrators. This valuable item is the original signed pencil drawing of Florian Slappey, a character in the Octavus Roy Cohen stories that he illustrated. The drawing is professionally double matted to an overall size of 12x16, using acid-free materials. A note on the back of the drawing reads 'This picture must not be used in any newspaper or periodical except the 'Saturday Evening Post', not may it be reproduced as an advertisement or in connection with advertising matter.' There are some small age spots and normal paper aging.
